Trooper Citta, Davis County

“Just wanted to say thank you to Trooper Citta who helped out today. The vehicle my wife was driving stalled on I-15 in the Farmington area. He pulled up behind to provide safety for her. He was friendly and coordinated with Incident Management for a short tow to a nearby shop. He traveled to where we had the vehicle towed. Hats off and much appreciated.” – M. Tietjen

Trooper Wurtz, Utah County

“Thursday, Sep. 9th, my wife and I were traveling south on I-15 from our home in Salt County to Ephraim to visit our daughter at Snow College. We were in separate vehicles as we were going to be leaving one with our daughter. Unfortunately, my wife struck a hand truck that was in traffic (secure your loads) in Santaquin and blew out a tire. She had to pull into the median to maintain control and come safely to a stop. Fortunately, Trooper Wurtz was on scene almost immediately. He helped us safely get out of the median and off of the freeway. Trooper Clawson was able to remove the hazard from traffic and he and Trooper Wurtz had the tire changed before I could really do anything other than retrieve the spare. Two great examples of all that is good about first responders and law enforcement. Thank you for being out there keeping us safe!” – R. Blair
