Trooper Horton, Iron County

“I would like to write and say how much I appreciate Trooper Ryan Horton for his service to me and my girls tonight. We had a flat tire and tried and tried to get the lug nuts off. We could not make them budge and I wasn’t sure what to do. I called UHP dispatch and they sent Trooper Horton. He helped to get the lug nuts off, but the tire would not budge. Even after we called for a tire service to come and knew help would come he would not leave. He made sure we were safe and taken care of. I cannot express my gratitude to him and his professionalism. Thank you, Trooper Horton.” – B. Barrett

Trooper J. Davis, Sevier County

“I had UHP trooper J. Davis getting service done on his cruiser at Classic Motors. While he was in here waiting, he heard another couple struggling with a phone call. The couple only spoke Spanish, and the caller only spoke English. They were struggling to use Google Translate to translate the call when Trooper Davis stepped up and asked the couple in Spanish if he could help. He proceeded to help translate the call and then continued to carry on a conversation with the couple. When it came time for the couple to pay their bill he translated the repaid and cost for me. It made a huge impact on my customers and a huge impact on me. I’m super happy that I was able to witness such an awesome interaction and I hope he gets some sort of recognition!” – M. Corbitt

“I want to thank the Utah Highway Patrolman that stopped and helped my dad change my flat tire yesterday just before the 278 exit in American Fork. It was very scary that my tire blew and no one stopped to help. I called my dad and he was changing it when the patrolman came. It was the left rear tire so he and my dad had to be kind of in the exit lane. I was very worried about them but thankfully it was quick. I also didn’t get the patrolman’s name but I wanted to thank him again.” – C. Done
