Trooper Strong, Iron County

A woman called our HQ to let us know how much she appreciated Trooper Brent Strong on a couple of occasions interacting with him.  On 9/25/21 he responded to assist Heber PD with a medical.  On the call Ms. Rackham’s husband passed away.  She described how he was so kind and compassionate while he was in her home.
On 9/28/21 she was the victim of a hit-and-run.  She called UHP for a report and none other than Trooper Strong showed up again.  She told me that when she saw him, she was just so relieved knowing that it was going to be ok.  She wanted to let us know he was welcome to her home for a cup of coffee anytime. – M. Rackman as shared with Sgt. Kirby

Trooper Hogan, Tooele County

“I wanted to write in about a VERY impressive trooper. I was one of the slide offs early Wednesday morning. I called the police department after not being able to call a tow truck. I was told that since I wasn’t hurt, they had more important issues. I totally understand. I had to abandon my car and wait for a tow truck that finally came about 8:30pm Wednesday night. Trooper Hogan saw me on the side of the road and pulled over. (near mile marker 102). I believe he was even off duty but not sure. He offered to wait until the tow truck came. He also offered to put down flares so no one would hit me. He was the kindest officer I have EVER encountered in my 50 years! so grateful to have officers like him on the road!” – L. Gerlach

Trooper Vanderbeek, Davis County

“I want to commend Trooper Vanderbeek for a job well-done on assisting me (rather I assisted him) on a tire change last week in a sketchy situation on I-15 in Centerville. He was a true professional! He was kind, concerned, safety conscious and so helpful. Please recognize him for his fine service. Feel free to contact me if there is another way to get this message to UHP management.” – D. Money
