HIVE

High Visibility Enforcement“Goal number one of the Utah Highway Patrol is to prevent traffic crashes and the resulting injuries and deaths. High visibility enforcement is more than just being highly visible. It combines visible enforcement elements with a marketing strategy to educate the public and promote voluntary compliance with traffic laws.”

Quote from Major Jess Anderson: “The Utah Highway Patrol collects and analyzes traffic crash, citation and criminal data, using this information to deploy resources to prevent traffic crashes, especially those invovling an injury or death. Overtime enforcement multiplies the effect of our regular patrols, especially at locations and during times when we can have the most effect.”
