Trooper Bradford, Utah County
“I wasn’t sure who to contact or the best way to do this, but I wanted to get a thank you to Trooper Blake Bradford. Last night I was driving my youngest son home from a group therapy session, which he attends since the loss of his older brother in March of 2020. As I started to pull over after seeing the lights of the patrol car come on behind me, my son was nervous and emotional. The last time he was around any police was when his brother died. He started to ask me a lot of questions about what was happening. I explained that I would probably get a ticket, but it was okay. Nothing bad was happening. I was driving too fast, so the officer was doing his job the way he is supposed to. When Trooper Bradford came to the passenger window, he immediately engaged in conversation with my son and I could tell it helped calm him down. After taking my license and registration, he returned with pencils and “junior deputy” stickers for my son, and let me go with a warning. Please let Trooper Blake Bradford know how much I appreciate his calming my son’s fears and taking the time to talk to him. It turned the whole experience from one filled with anxiety to one he has not stopped talking about. It meant a lot to me that he would have some positive interaction with law enforcement after our difficult experience last year. I feel like I should say more – that I am not conveying my feelings adequately. Thank you, thank you, thank you. All the best.” – G.B.

Trooper Citta, Davis County
“Two weeks ago Trooper Citta was attempting to stop a motorcycle getting off of the freeway on 500 S in Woods Cross. Trooper Citta had dispatch put out a description of the motorcycle which was located in Woods Cross. I assisted with the initial stop, and was contacted by Trooper Citta when he arrived. My email is to let you know that I was very impressed with Trooper Citta’s professionalism, and the manner in which he conducted himself. He was very respectful of the motorcycle rider, even though he was not telling us the truth, had no registration for his bike, and no motorcycle license. Trooper Citta is to be commended on how he handled the case with respect and safety for the public by not chasing the motorcycle, and his professionalism in how he handled the arrest and impound.” Chief Soffe, Woods Cross Police Department

“Just wanted to give troopers, Roper and Dunn some positive recognition. Their response to a motorcycle crash that I witnessed in hyrum on hwy 101 was very professional and deserves some kind of formal recognition. Please feel free to reach out to me for any further details!” – R. Belcher

“My wife was driving as we were returning to Seattle from Denver. We were pulled over by an officer of the State Patrol. My wife, apparently, was speeding. The officer was professional, kind, informative, polite and made the experience memorable for both of us. I wanted to write your organization to say how proud I was, as an American, that our protective authorities continue to be polite and professional. Thank you for employing and training such a great representative of your organization and state. We discussed how different it would have turned out had we argued, insulted, or cursed the office, resisted, ran or got out of the car and struggled. Every citizen chooses the nature and outcome of their interactions with the police. Good luck to all your employees.” – R. Johnson

Trooper Scheer
“Yesterday, April 1, 2021, at approximately 8pm an officer whose name I have forgotten (sorry because she was super awesome) helped me out. This officer definitely needs a bunch of cop bonus points cause we need more cops like her. Please find out who this is. She helped me as I was getting on to I-15 going north from I-84 (Ogden Canyon). I was in a motorhome with a broken bike rack on a narrow shoulder and it was dusk. She helped other drivers see me and helped me get back on to the freeway I hope that’s enough to get her the accommodations she deserves and to tell her, Thank You.” – P. Hawkes
