Trooper Nielson, Iron County

“On a recent trip to St George, I was pulled over for speeding just north of Cedar City. I want to apologize. I was just entering the area at mile 62 where the speed limit drops and I wasn’t paying good enough attention. I also would like to thank the Trooper who pulled me over and cited me for his professionalism and for his service. I realize being a law officer these days is quite often a thankless job at best. I appreciate the service of our lawmen and thought I should express that gratitude. I can’t read his name on the citation but his badge number is #352. He was considerate and professional.” – K. Bowler

Trooper Powers and Off Duty Trooper, Davis County

“I just wanted to thank Trooper Rory Powers for the kindness and care he gave to my daughter after she was in an accident on I-15 in Centerville yesterday(12/17). I also wish I could thank the other officer that showed up first, but he was actually off duty, so I don’t know his name. He was a guardian angel sent to her as he was in the right place at the right time and was the first person to stop and help her. I would love to sincerely thank both him and Office Powers for their kindness and help and keeping my daughter safe and comforted at such a traumatic time for her. I hope this message will get to both Officers. Thank you!” – J. Johnson

I was involved in a fender bender this week and I just wanted to thank Trooper Daren Walker (546) for his help and for the way he handled our incident. I feel he was very professional and I wanted to thank him for making me feel comfortable in a new and uncomfortable situation. I don’t know if this is the best place to send a compliment, but I hope this gets to him. Thank you.” – K. Heumann

I am so grateful for the highway patrolman that helped when my tire blew on the 201. I was scared to death as the cars were speeding by me at 70 miles an hour, and the officer helped by changing the tire for me. Thank you so much!!!” – Susan NJ

Trooper Nelson, Emery County

I wanted to send a thank you message to Trooper Craig Nelson for his professionalism. He makes Utah a better place, I know the police do not always get the respect or gratitude they deserve but with more officers like him I am hopeful that changes. As a Texas resident he makes the state of Utah shine a little brighter. Keep up the good work and thank you for all that you do everyday.” – N.Roustio

Trooper Shaffer, Box Elder County

Thank you to the kind Highway Patrol Trooper who helped us not only get our tire from the middle of the freeway, He drove to the next exit turning around and getting it but also driving to the exit and turning around again to bring it to us. He also has not only checked up on us but used his lights to help with our safety as they were working on it. He then helped us jump the car after we were all finished! Thanks Trooper Shaffer, you’re the best!” A. Whitford
