“I came to Utah over the holidays (from Texas) to visit family. While there, I was traveling on the 215 headed up to Syracuse, when a ladder hit the front wheel of my car and flattened it. Only a few minutes after I had pulled over to the side of the road, Trooper Cameron Fawson stopped and completely came to my aid. He insisted I stay safe and warm inside the car, while he removed the flat, pumped up my spare, and then put that tire on. He was so friendly and put my mind at ease, even though it could have been a really stressful situation. I was incredibly impressed with him, and I am thankful for all he did!! Keep up the great work, Utah Highway Patrol!”

Aero Bureau
“Our daughter is married to Scott Pehrson’s brother, Dave. We live in Texas and were helpless when we found out he’d been buried in an avalanche. My husband and I wanted to send our sincere thank you for the DPS helicopter that located the beacon signal and assisted in locating Scott, providing his family with closure. We thank and appreciate all who had a part in his recovery and pray that God will Bless you all and keep you safe.” – K. and N. Kimbro

“I was just driving past one of the Pleasant Grove exits Southbound on I-15. It’s 28 degrees and a light blizzard and a Utah Highway Patrolman is helping change a tire, no coat on. #hardcore. I thought how grateful I would be if I was the person with the flat tire and I wanted to make sure UHP was shown some love. I know it’s a thankless job a lot of the time, but I appreciate your efforts to protect and serve so much! Thank you, UHP!!” – E. Collett

Trooper Bradford, Utah County
“I was pulled over by Trooper Bradford in UT County last week, and I wanted to write in and say what a great job he is doing. He was respectful and kind and I really appreciated the help he gave me and the attitude he had. I can only imagine how stressful his job is and how hard it is to keep the attitude he has up, I am very grateful to have a Trooper like him keeping us safe.” – E. Hutchinson

“Today I got a flat tire on the freeway. While I was waiting for my husband. An officer pulled behind me and offered to change my tire. He changed it within minutes and I was on my way. I wish I would have asked for his name. I appreciate it so much.” – B. Whalen

Trooper Higgs, Millard County
I would like to make you aware of how grateful I am to Trooper Jared Higgs for his help today. My 84 year old mother and I were traveling north on I-15 on 1/17/2019 around 2:30 PM when my Buick Enclave ran out of gas. I was watching the gas monitor because I knew I was low on gas but it registered that I still had three gallons left. I was planning to get off at the next exit which was Meadow. We didn’t make it. I called 911 and they transferred me to the Highway Patrol dispatcher and I explained our situation. I was amazed and very pleased when she told me that she knew exactly where I was on GPS. Within minutes Trooper Higgs pulled up behind us. When he saw two senior women in the vehicle he immediately offered to go get gas for us at the next exit and be back to put it in our car which he did. We were beyond grateful to him. We could have been stranded for hours! My mom is now safely in her home in Provo and I am safely in my home in Salt Lake City because of Trooper Higgs. We are so grateful to him and to all of our Utah Highway Patrol Troopers and Dispatchers. You keep us safe. You care about us. You are respectful and concerned and I could not be more grateful. Please know how devastated we feel when one of you, or any officer of the law, is harmed in any way. You are a very important part of the State of Utah and I hope you feel that from so many of us who honor you and your families as you give your life every day in the line of duty. Thank you again for having men and women such as Trooper Higgs keeping our highways and the people who drive on them safe. Yours very sincerely, J. Astorga and my mom M. Giraud

“I’ve lived in Utah all my life and I have never experienced better trained, more friendly, or more professional troopers. Even when you guys are issuing me tickets, I know you are doing your jobs and keeping our state safe. Stay safe out there, guys. Thank you for all you do.” – A. Edman

Trooper Park, Utah County
“I wish to commend Trooper Park. This morning 1/4/2019 between 6 and 6:30 Trooper Park had occasion to pull me over. He informed me of some safety concerns he had noticed with my van. While doing this he was not only respectful but friendly. The way in which he conveyed the information was courteous and put me at ease. Trooper Park is an excellent example of a Highway Patrol officer. Over the years I have interacted with only a few of the force yet each time it has been a good experience usually with the Trooper rendering assistance beyond what I would expect. I appreciate the work of the Highway Patrol in helping keep us safe and the high caliber of people who are part of the organization.” -J. Allred
