Utah and Wyoming Teaming Up for Weekend Traffic Enforcement

From Thursday, July 20th through Monday, July 24th, Wyoming and Utah law enforcement will be teaming up as part of a two-state, multi-agency Traffic Enforcement Operation, spanning Summit and Wasatch Counties in Utah and Wyoming’s Uinta County. The long Pioneer Day weekend is a time when many people hit the road and on Saturday, Evanston holds its annual Brew Fest. Agencies participating in the operation include the Utah Highway Patrol, Summit County Sheriff, Wasatch County Sheriff, Park City Police, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Evanston Police Department, and Wyoming’s Uinta County Sheriff. They will be working 30 extra shifts over the long weekend with the goal of getting everyone home safely.

Utah and Wyoming Teaming Up for Traffic Enforcement This Weekend

Multi-agency operation in two states will focus on impaired drivers and seat belt use.

EVANSTON, WYOMING (July 21, 2017) – The Pioneer Day holiday is one of the busiest travel weekends in Utah and southwest Wyoming. Law enforcement in Wyoming and Utah will be out in force helping to make sure everyone gets home safely by targeting drunk drivers and enforcing seat belt laws. On Thursday, representatives from each agency gathered in Evanston to kick off the joint enforcement campaign.

Agencies participating in the operation include the Utah Highway Patrol, Summit County Sheriff, Wasatch County Sheriff, Park City Police, Heber City Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Evanston Police Department, and Wyoming’s Uinta County Sheriff. They will be working 30 extra shifts over the long weekend with the goal of getting everyone home safely.

Throughout Utah, troopers will be working extra shifts focusing on impaired driving, seat belts and aggressive driving.
