Trooper Black, Box Elder County

“Hello, this email is a long time coming. I just wanted to say that last April, Trooper Black was a great help to my wife and I. He is a great example of a good person, and a courteous officer. Thank you officer Black for helping some out of state individuals, stranded on the side of the road.” S. Davis

Trooper Banks, Summit County

I just wanted to express my appreciation for how professional and respectful Trooper J. Banks was when he stopped me for speeding. I’m usually very conscientious of not speeding, but we all make mistakes. Trooper Banks did his job in such a way that I didn’t feel judged or belittled. And on top of his friendly manner, he got me back on my way much faster than I thought it would take. I was late for a meeting (hence the speeding) and his timely work helped me get there in time, even at the posted speed limit! My thanks to trooper Banks and everyone at the UHP working so hard to help make this a great place to live and work.” – M. Smalley

Trooper Pence, Salt Lake County

I wanted to commend officer E Pence for his professionalism and kindness when he had to pull me over on North Temple early this morning. I had indeed failed to use a turn signal in my borrowed car on my way to an exercise class, and (probably out of respect for my advanced age) gave me only a warning. Officers like him help everyone in the community feel safer and cared about as individuals. Please pass this on to his supervisor.” – S. McMullin

Trooper Hudson, Beaver County

“On 11/19/2023, I found myself in a car accident from slippery roads right outside of Beaver Utah and needing help from Utah State Trooper Chris Hudson. Your professionalism, calm demeanor, and genuine concern for my well-being were truly commendable. Your actions went above and beyond the call of duty, making a significant positive impact during what could have been a challenging and stressful experience. It is heartening to know that individuals like you are serving this community, exemplifying the highest standards of law enforcement. Your dedication to public safety and the thoughtful manner in which you handled the situation have not gone unnoticed. Thank you, Trooper Hudson, for your outstanding service and kindness. Your commitment to the well-being of your community is truly commendable, and I am grateful for the positive impression you left. Wishing you continued success and safety in your duties.” A. Zimmerman

Trooper Wilde, Davis County

“I wanted to let you and Trooper Wilde know how appreciative I am! I was involved in a hit-and-run on I-15 but was able to have my passenger take a picture of the car as it fled. Trooper Wilde tracked them down and got back to me quickly. Unfortunately, the other car was not insured, but Trooper Wilde gave me all the information I need for my insurance company. He was so kind and calm and helpful in a situation where I was kind of freaking out and unsure of what to do. Thanks for all everyone at UHP does!” – C. Harris
